Murder at the Manor

(Case: Inviation for Hattori)

There has been a murder at the local mansion.
Screech!
A car brakes and two policemen jump out.
"So, where's this detective that was supposed to be meeting us here?" One asked, pulling his police cap over his eyes. The other did the same, leaning on the boot of the police car.
"I don't know." The other replied, looking up to the clock tower by the mansion. "But he should be here soon."

Hattori joins.. He gets there and see the guests.. Everyone seems fine and no problems are there.. He calls for Conan but he seems a bit confused so he decided to solve it himself.. Every single guest is in the house and cameras are all over there..

Hattori calls for Conan "Hey, where did she receive the messages? E-mail or mobile phone or mail ones? And also, get me a list of the names of the guests please "

Afterwards he looks to the detective, and very carelessly he asks Conan "Who are these?"

Conan did not reply to the call.
The message went to his voicemail instead.

"Need some help?" One of the policemen looked over to see Hattori talking on a phone. "We're just about to gather some evidence from the mansion, so if you want to come in...?" He spoke, lifting himself off the boot of the car.

Call for means like "Hey pal!"... It's American =.=

(Harley sees that he needs to go formal a little..) Hi there, sir! Of course! So, Names?

"My name is Bert, and his is Roger." Spoke the policeman who had lifted himself off the boot of the car. He started advancing toward Hattori. "I heard you're supposed to be a great detective. Let's see if you can live up to that."
The other policeman looked up from his downturned gaze. He ignored Hattori and the other policeman and started walking toward the doors of the manor, the way into the huge room where all the other guests were standing, waiting for interviews or searches.

Hattori follows and just waits for what the detective does.. "Let's see if you are...", he replies to his statement..

Hattori was beckoned into the large room, where 50 guests or so were waiting. They started gatherign toward the policemen, clamouring and askign questions. When none were answered, they quickly quietened down.
The three were taken upstairs to the scene of the murder.
They also backed off to allow the policemen to examine the corpse of the deceased, who was lying on the floor next to a birthday cake where the candles had been blown out. The nearby windows opened like doors and the wind blew through them, flapping the cutains. If you stepped onto the porch the window opened onto, you would find the large clock above the window, on the wall. There was also a well with a grating just below the window.

"Give us a few minutes to gather some clues." One of the policemen stated to Hattori. "I'll let you investigate on your own though."

(State areas you wish to examine. You may ask the policemen about witnesses and such.)

Alex had in fact been there. He was so bored he had taken the train to Osaka. Alex threw a pebble at a boy who looked like Him. Harley and Alex looked alike. "Harley!"

"Hey, it was said that she received threatening messages.. Shall I see them?"

Harley hears Alex, he glares at him for sometime and then he says "Sorry, do I know you?"

"The messages?" The policeman asked. "Of course, I'll go and get them. They were letters, I believe. Just plain letters in an envelope." The policeman went away downstairs to get the letters, leaving one policeman in the room.

Harley calls Conan again.. "Where are you, Kudo?! I've been waiting for ages!"

(Solve this alone, not with Conan... he's on another case...)

Alex looked at Harley. "I'm the only one in the world who looks like you, I'm the Detective of the south." Hoping it wouldn't sound weird.

Harley gets with the other policeman.. "Let's look to the coarse :/"

Harley gets surprised as he found not much blood and just a red spot with a bullet.. "Sniper, eh?" He says to the policeman

He then looks to Harley, "Why are you following me? I look like you, but still, do I know you? Anyway, can you help with this case?"

Alex pulled Harley close, "I'm Leo Clam, remember, the Fake Sherlock Holmes case a year ago!"

You can't say what you find...

You find a huge red patch of blood on the corpse, where her stomach was. (Yes, was)

Harley looks staring... He gets confused as he can't understand why the murderer cuts the victim's stomach.. He asks the police man "This is strange.. What do you think?"

Harley starts looking at the floor and searching for any evidence

The floor was covered with blood splatters, but one of the large blood splatters had a blank "u" shape, as if something had been there when the blood splattered.

Harley still looks very confused at it goes more and more confusing.. He tries to think about any reason of the empty stomach place or the U thing, but with no success.. "Did you find any weapon?" Harley asks the policeman confused

"No, we didn't seem to find a weapon, but we can get witness accounts of what happened if you like." The policeman in the room stated.
There was a thumping sound as the other policeman dashed into the room, letters in hand. He placed them on the floor, away from the corpse, in the order they were sent.

One was 5 years ago.
One was 4 years ago.
One was 3 years ago.
One was 2 years ago.
One was 1 year ago.
They all had the same message:
"The minute you reach the hand of your fourtieth is the time you die."

"It's all very mysterious isn't it?" The policeman who had got the letters, asked.

Harley asked, "Did she have any enemies? Shall we compare the font with people who always see her? Also, who's acting weird lately, and are there any other evidence?"

Harley wonders as he can't see the little kid who wanted to talk to him.. He looks up on the wall trying to find anything

"We don't know much about her enemies - perhaps you should ask someone who knew her?" The policeman replied. "And I just got this back from testing. It's completely untraceable."

On the wall, there were ornate tapestries and paintings and many windows, but the rest were closed.

Harley stands still as he can't find any clue.. "Are there any other witnesses?"

"Yes, we have four people who were standing next to the victim at the time of the crime."
The policeman called them up the stairs.

One was Moto - a middle-aged man who had come into the building with only an umbrella, a foldable type. He carried his wallet and car keys. He had recieved an invitation from the hostess to come to the party a month ago.

Taki had come in, putting her umbrella by the door for it had been raining outside before the party. She carried nothing else apart from her car keys. She recieved the invitation 3 weeks ago. She was within the top of the middle aged age range.

Makata didn't have an umbrella on him, despite the weather. He however, did have a hoodie. He brought along his Nintendo DS, since he was a teenager that had been invited here by the hostess sending a message to his mother. His mum fell ill and couldn't come but since the family lived nearby, he walked over.

Ross was American, a well-built man. He hadn't brought an umbrella over either but this was because he took his car to the mansion. His home was several miles away. He had brought his car keys and wallet as well as a small gun.
"Protection." He had uttered before showing his gun license.
