Murder at the Manor

"You were two policemen :/ Where's the other one?"

Harley said as he looked from the window that the witnesses talked about

"I thought they were already with you?"

"Where were you? O.o"

"Downstairs..."

At this point everyone was just repeating stuff.

Harley goes downstairs.. He checks if there's anything wrong.

The policemen were slightly fed up of this. One shrugged to the other and followed Harley downstars, grabbing his shoulder.
"Hey, don't you want to check around the crime scene? For example, just below the balcony there was a well covered with a grille, a clock above which, when 6, would have the shortest hand at the bottom of the clockface, the u-shape in the blood splatter..."

Harley insisted on going down. He pushed the policeman strongly aside and ran downwards.

Downstairs, many of the guests were talking to each other and drinking leftover wine since they had nothing better to do. The 47 guests downstairs all turned to Harley when he barged past the policeman and dashed downstairs, causing a large amount of noise. The other three suspected guests remained upstairs wth the other policeman.

Harley turns to the guests: "Please go upstairs."

(Was there anything wrong downstairs?)

(Downstairs was normal)

All the guests shrug at each other, sharing choice words before walking past each other to go upstairs. The three suspects that remained upstairs merged in with the guests.
"This is usually the point where Harley gives his deduction..." One of the policemen walked upstairs, meeting up with the other. He sighed, examining the corpse.
"I can tell you one thing for sure, even I know who the murderer is.... an item of clothing that would cause a u-shape on the floor.... and blood is on it."

Harley goes and tries to be as normal as he can. He goes to the policeman "I heard you saying that you know who's the murderer.. And you leave me searching for all this time?! "

"It's quite easy to figure out, and I'm surprised you didn't earlier." The policeman states, changing his position so he is relaxing on his feet. "Think carefully. You have all the information. The only thing we cannot figure out at the moment is how the murderer was actually performed, but we have a feeling it was something to do with the time."

"This is not a game now. This way you're keeping very important information about a murder which is considered illegal. Who's the murderer?!"

"You should be the one deducing that." The policeman pointed to everyone's feet. "Have a look."

"Wait a second. I knew him. Oh my god! I understood what you mean. But there's no actual proof to prove this."

"Ah yes, there is. How about looking around? I haven't looked at the well or clock face or anything like that yet." The policeman replied, finally glad Hattori got the answer.

(Hattori didn't yet)

"If blood is on someone's feet, then it's not a proof that he killed.. It may have splattered.. Also Ross said that it was like something large was forced through the crowd.. Mysterious, isn't it?"

The policeman thought for a moment.
"It sounded like there was some light movement, a scream then something large was forced through the crowd."
He took another thought.
"Also, why is it in THAT PLACE, but not the rest of his body apart from THAT OTHER PLACE?"

Harley starts to figure things out..

He goes outside and searches for anything strange.

Upon the balcony where Harley stepped outside, there were small, red patches of blood. Some of these patches turned into streaks almost as if something had been dragged along the floor of the balcony. On the rail, there were more streaks of blood in a line.
A small piece of broken string hung from the rail.

Harley looks farther and tries to see anything there.

Above the balcony was a giant clock on a tower.
Below the balcony was a well with a metal grille over it.

Harley goes down and goes to the well.. He feels like there's something wrong there.
